Rates (5-day backpacking trip from McCarthy):

• Private Solo (1 person): $5400
• Private Couple (2 people): $3300 each
• Private Group (3 people): $2800 each
• Private Group (4-6 people): $2500 each
• Non-Private Group (4-6 people): $2500 each

Trips can be shorter or longer depending on client needs and interests. This area is great for basecamping, backpacking loops, and also provides fabulous opportunities for mountaineering and peakbagging. It’s an ideal, and very special, venue for into to mountaineering instruction.

Sample Itinerary (5-day backpacking trip from McCarthy):

• Pre-trip: Evening meeting in McCarthy for introductions, trip overview, personal gear check, and distribution of group gear and food (pre-packed in bear-resistant canisters).
• Day 1: Morning rendezvous in McCarthy, bush flight to Skolai Pass, start trekking!
• Days 2-4: Trek, camp, eat, sleep, repeat in sublime wilderness.
• Day 5: Last day of trekking and bush flight back to McCarthy.

Trips can also depart from Glennallen, Tok, or Nabesna depending on clients needs and interests but McCarthy is standard and provides the most options for additional activities and exploration. Contact CMI to discuss the best options for you or your group.
