CMI provides guided backpacking trips in Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). As Alaska’s premier Arctic guide, CMI offers exclusive trips and routes in the Brooks Range as well as the classics (like Arrigetch).

CMI offers open group trips, but specializes in private-custom trips tailored specifically for your interests, ability, and experience level (from absolute novices to the most experienced backcountry travelers).

Fly-in trips are available through Fairbanks (direct or via Coldfoot or Bettles). CMI also offers relatively affordable Arctic wilderness experiences from the road via the Dalton Highway (aka North Slope Haul Road).

Opportunities for base camp style, loop, and point to point traverses are limitless on the wide open and vast tundra of Alaska’s Arctic.
